This is an instant classic. To the greatest guy 560 is lucky enough to ever have your our boy Tony pro were all yours. The movie was a little long then it had to be, but still very well paced. The story takes place through certain decades. Almost makes you feel like your there. Performances are beyond greatness, I like the way it shows the gangsters are quite vulnerable.


Robert De Niro and Joe Pesci are great and Oscar worthy, but it"s Al Pacino that really chews up the scenes has Jimmy Hoffa, I feel he becomes Hoffa when ever he"s on screen. I don"t how much did or didn"t happen, but still a good gangster film, a little longer then it needed to be.

The extras they hired for that union meeting scene really do look like they"re from that era. The irishman free full stream. Man, Jesse Plemons is always a bad guy: Breaking Bad, this movie, Fargo. A classic Scorsese spectacle that had all the right ingredients, though the cinematic hero worship of the stars drowned out the storyline for me. Putting a 40 year old face on a man with the gait of a 75 year old is just weird, distracting and - I have to say - cringingly funny at times. Pacino"s big outbursts are staccato and forced, but you can feel the whole of age-free hollywood cheering him on with tears in their eyes. Out here in the real world, they all just looked a bit odd. The spin-off benefit of the length of the film was that you slowly adjusted to it, but only in the way that you adjust to alien creatures. Storyline, script and atmosphere were expertly compelling, I just couldn"t get past the fake faces and eyes.
